Stasia is a passionate Christian of Māori and Niuean descent. She has grown up in Māori bilingual units throughout all levels of her education and has enjoyed performing kapa haka over these years. Most recently she has completed her bachelor’s degree in Māori Development majoring in Māori media. She hopes to bring her cultural knowledge into the workplace and apply tikanga to her interactions with the organisation’s key stakeholders.
Stasia has previously worked in the Environmental and Infrastructure Services at Auckland Council as an administrator. During this time, she worked to help with hui for Council officers and mana whenua on developments in Tāmaki Makaurau relating to parks, reserves and other environmental projects.
Stasia is excited to use her admin experience in her new role with Kiwis for kiwi. She cannot wait to dive in and contribute in any way she can regarding the conservation of New Zealand’s national bird. She feels very privileged to be surrounded by such passionate experts and looks forward to all the information and knowledge she will be able to gain through working alongside them.
