Kiwi Calling Contest Terms and Conditions:

  1. Instructions on how to enter the Kiwi Calling Contest (‘Contest’) form part of these terms and conditions. Entry into the Contest is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. The Contest commences at 08:00am on 15 October 2012 and closes at 5:00pm, 21 October 2012 (‘Contest Period’). There are two prize packages (each a ‘Prize’) to be won.
  3. The promoter of the Contest is The Kiwi Trust, trading as ‘Kiwis for kiwi’ (‘Trust’), Carlaw Business Park, Nicholls Lane, Parnell, Auckland.
  4. Entry into the Contest is open to the public. Entries are limited to one per person. Employees of the Trust, their immediate family members, and any employees of those agencies associated with this Contest and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter the Contest.
  5. To enter the Contest, entrants must sign up for the Trust’s Kiwi Calling e-newsletter via the web-based entry form located on-site at the Kiwi Café on Queen’s Wharf, Auckland before the close of the Contest Period. There is no payment or other consideration necessary to enter the Contest.
  6. Entrants will be able to enter the Contest anytime during the daily opening hours of the Kiwi Café which are 7am – 6pm Mon 15th Oct – Wed 17th Oct, 7:00am – 2:00pm Thurs 18th Oct and 7:00am – 6:00pm Fri 19th Oct – Sun 21st October throughout the Contest Period.
  7. Upon entry into the Contest, each entrant must select which of the two prizes they would prefer if drawn as one of the two Contest winners. The Trust does not guarantee that the winners will receive the Prize that they prefer.
  8. The two winners will be drawn from valid entrants of the Contest at random on [22nd October 2012]. The winners will be notified by telephone or in writing using the details received from the entry. If a winner cannot be contacted within one week of the winner being drawn, the Prize will be forfeited and another winner will be drawn. The Trust’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The two Contest winners will each receive a Prize. There is one of each of the following prizes available:
    • A trip for two to the kiwi release experience on Motutapu Island in the Hauraki Gulf on 23rd October 2012. This Prize includes:

      i) Water transport from the Auckland Ferry Terminal for two people to an island in the Hauraki Gulf;

      ii) Participation in the release of kiwi to the wild; and

      iii) A fully catered lunch (not including any alcoholic beverages).

      All other costs are to be met by the winner of the Prize. The exact date and time of the Prize is subject to formal confirmation.

    • A set of limited edition Kiwis for Kiwi cycle gear. This Prize includes an apparel kit containing a jersey and shorts, and will be provided in the size requested by the winner of the Prize.

  10. The Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable for cash. Some components of the Prizes, or any component of them, may be subject to availability. If for any reason the Prizes to be awarded become unavailable, the Trust reserves the right to substitute another prize of a similar nature or value.
  11. The winners agree to be available for reasonable publicity purposes, including but not limited to, public appearances for photographs and interviews without compensation. All material produced during such promotional activities shall remain the property of the Trust. The Trust collects your information so that you can participate in the Contest. If you do not provide the information, you cannot participate. The Trust may use this information to conduct the Contest and may also use the personal information submitted by entrants in conjunction with any publicity related to the Contest or any other Trust promotion. The Trust may disclose this information to third parties who provide it with administrative services in this regard. It will also use the information to promote, market, and publicise the Trust or its related entities. You consent to the Trust using and disclosing your personal information for these purposes. For such purposes any personal details of the entrants will be stored at the office of the Trust or its related entities. You may gain access, update or correct your information by contacting the Trust on 09 375 1084.
  12. To the extent permitted by law, the Trust, its related entities and agencies associated with the Contest, shall not be liable for:

i) any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of entry, participation or use of the Prize in this competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law; or

ii) the non-receipt of the Prize for any reason whatsoever. The winner is responsible for the accuracy of the personal information and contact details provided upon entry to the Contest.
